The manufacturing standards for cribs is constantly being reviewed and updated.  When your crib was manufactured, I’m sure they followed the standards that were in place at the time.

But how much time has passed since then?  If you’re using an older crib, even a few years old, you should check if, by the newest standards, your crib is unsafe for your child.

So, go to the internet, look up the manufacturer of your crib, and check if there’s been a recall on your model.  If you don’t see any recalls for your crib, you should then go to the contact page and specifically ask (by email or phone) if your model has been recalled.

Just think.

The only time your child is alone is when s/he is in his/her crib.  It’s worth the peace of mind to know that when your child is asleep in the crib, you’ve done everything you can to see that they’re protected.

That’s what a good parent does.  Protect.
